Sisyphus is a mythical ancient Greek man who in the afterlife is required to roll a heavy boulder up a hill only to see it roll back down again. When it stops at the bottom, he must begin taking it back up to the top, and this cycle repeats for eternity.
This is a sad poem about the need to connect with loved ones and the constant feeling of failure and loss that the support needed was not given, the connection not made.
The poem is written by our printer, Bill Denham, and illustrated by our designer, Kim Vanderheiden. It is the second in a series of broadsides featuring Denham's writing.
The image was originally drawn in pencil and then converted into photopolymer plates and printed on the letterpress. It’s dimensions are 5.75x11”An unframed copy is available for $35.
